A new week

Last night I traveled back to the area from home. This week I'm still staying in Jersey, but with some friends who are semi-related to me through marriage. It's nice. I have my own room and a 1/2 bath to use in the morning to get ready. I've got the bottom floor to myself so I don't have to worry about being too loud in the morning. The commute is less time. I'm taking a bus instead of a train and it takes about 50 minutes. The sucky part is that it cost more.

Work went well today. I visited some employers and have a few potential leads for job placements. Today Julie told me that she heard from the new broker we have an application in with and he said that the apartment looked like it would be ours. We've heard this before so neither of us are getting our hopes too terribly high. We should know for sure tomorrow. I'm not sure when we will be able to move in though. We are hoping for Monday, Labor Day.

Not much else to write about and I'm tired and hungry so I'll keep this fairly short.

I'll hopefully have some more pics to put up tomorrow.

Hey Caryn!! It's Janice's daughter Wendy. I just read your blog and it sounds so exciting!!

Please don't get discouraged...things will work out the way they are supposed to, they alwyas do!! Alot of this sounds like my sister's stories, running for the train, being hot, I always get lost in Penn and I have been there ton of times!! It is like a city down there.

By the way, that Hemp shampoo is the best!! It is from a product line called Alterna, I hope you used it lol!!! I love that stuff.

It sounds like you really like your job and that is great!! If you want cheap food and you like Mexican there is this cool Mexican restaurant called the red chilli pepper I think, it is near Wall Street by the River where you pick up the water taxi. I can't remember the name exactly but it has a huge red chilli pepper hanging in there. Maybe if you ask someone will know. You know Brooklyn is a nice place to live, Bay Ridge is where my sister lived and the commute isn't too bad on the water taxi but I wouldn't want to do that in the winter bbrrr. I know it used to take her about 40 min of travel by subway, but then you have to walk to the train, wait for it, you know....I did like Brooklyn it felt surprisingly homey to me, and it is cheaper.

Anyway, good luck, I am looking forward to hearing more about your adventures and I think it is so brave of you to just get up and go out there!! Keep pushin and something will come up I know it!! I will keep you in my prayers!!
I LOVE NY!!! Wendy...I am going to be in Brooklyn in Oct for work so maybe I will look you up!!
